Continuing Professional Development
FSEM awards CPD credits for Sport and Exercise Medicine related courses, events and conferences.
Apply for CPD
To apply to the Faculty for Continuing Professional Development credits, please read the Application Guidance, complete the application form below, and email it to accreditation@fsem.ac.uk along with a copy of the programme for your course.
We approve: Conferences and conference components (e.g. workshops, symposia), live webinars and lectures, distance learning and e-learning resources – please follow the guidance when applying.
Applications deadlines:
- Single live events (e.g. webinars and lectures) must be submitted at least four weeks before the event:
- Conferences and live-streamed events consisting of several lecture/webinar/symposium components, must be submitted at least eight weeks before the event.
- Distance learning, e-learning and e-platform applications can take up to 12 weeks to assess, depending on the size of the application, and applicants should be advised that these should be applied for earlier than other application types.

Please download the form below, and complete application form and attach all supporting evidence before submitting to accreditation@fsem.ac.uk for assessment.
Once CPD has been Awarded
Invoices will be sent on approval of CPD. You will receive a confirmation email outlining the number of points awarded and including a jpg of the FSEM CPD Awarded logo which you can use on your publicity material and certificates.
When promoting your course, please use the wording ‘FSEM UK CPD awarded‘ alongside the logo. Please ensure invoices are paid in full before displaying our logo.
Please do not use the words FSEM ‘endorsed’ or ‘approved’ – the Faculty does not endorse or approve the content of courses and conferences not run by FSEM.

Diplomate Members
Doctors, allied health professionals and others who have passed the Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine examination are eligible to apply for Diplomate Membership of the Faculty.
