Appraisal and Revalidation
The Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK (FSEM) provides an appraisal and revalidation service for its Fellows and Members which is compliant with the requirements of the GMC’s Good medical practice framework for appraisal and revalidation of doctors practicing in the UK.
FSEM appraisal service supports doctors and consultants whose commitment in Sport and Exercise Medicine is greater than 50% of their work and their Responsible Officer (RO) has agreed that they can have a Faculty appraisal.
FSEM appraisal and revalidation service supports doctors and consultants who do not have a prescribed connection to a Designated Body or are not already part of an NHS appraisal system. The Faculty has appointed a Suitable Person for Members and Fellows.

AoMRC Guidance on Reflective Practice
The Academy of Medical Royal Colleges, together with the UK Conference of Postgraduate Medical Deans (COPMeD), the General Medical Council (GMC), and the Medical Schools Council, has produced guidance and a toolkit to support medical students, doctors in training and doctors engaging in revalidation to reflect on their practice.

Diplomate Members
Doctors, allied health professionals and others who have passed the Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine examination are eligible to apply for Diplomate Membership of the Faculty.
