Meet the Hosts
Qualified as a GP in 2015 having initially starting Core Surgical training in trauma and orthopaedics, He worked as a GP partner for 8 years in a busy practice in Leicestershire. He completed a master’s degree in sports and exercise medicine from the University of bath in 2019 and the Diploma in MSK medicine from the Faculty of sports and exercise medicine in 2021.
He was team doctor for Wasp’s rugby team for 6 years working in both the academy and senior men’s team as well as provision of general practice services to the team and covid lead. He has also worked at the Glasgow Commonwealth games and is a PHICIS course instructor as well as being a member of the match day medical team at Twickenham for senior internationals. He now works for Leicester Tigers as a match day doctor.
He worked as a speciality doctor in sports medicine at the University Hospitals of Leicester and is now the clinical transformation lead for Orthopaedics in for Leicestershire ICB. He runs the community musculoskeletal service for Leicestershire and has a particular interest in exercise as treatment and prevention of chronic disease.
Claire is a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist and pilates instructor whose experience in injury management spans nearly 20 years. She has had a varied career, working as Director of Clinical Services in a private hospital in the north of England, and most recently managing the physiotherapy departments across 2 private hospitals in South West London. She has extensive clinical experience in the NHS, in private clinics, and in professional Rugby League.
Claire was amongst the first cohort of healthcare professionals in 2021 to complete a Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine with the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine. She is a member of the British Association of Hand Therapists and is also trained to use acupuncture for pain relief as part of physiotherapy treatment. She is among a select group of healthcare professionals to have completed an extensive MSK (Musculoskeletal) Champions programme with the charity Versus Arthritis and works with her fellow champions across all sectors of the UK to try to improve MSK care..
Claire combines her love of travel and sport with her passion for physiotherapy, having worked as a volunteer physiotherapist at a number of major sporting events, including the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games, 2018 Winter Paralympics in PyeongChang, Rio Olympics 2016 and Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014.

Giles is a GP by training with a specialist interest in musculoskeletal health, working in an extended role within NHS spine and chronic pain clinics on the south coast of England. He also has a particular interest in medical education and supporting clinicians locally and nationally to develop their MSK skills.
